“Wages of Fear” next Tuesday for Chestnut Hill Film Series

The Chestnut Hill Film Group, sponsored by The Chestnut Hill Local, presents Yves Montand in the classic 1953 thriller "Wages of Fear" at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Chestnut Hill Library, 8711 Germantown Ave. It won the Palm d’Or at the 1953 Cannes Film Festival

Montand and Peter Van Eyck are truck drivers who earn large salaries transporting highly volatile nitroglycerine across some of the most treacherous terrain on earth. Directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot, known as the French Hitchcock. Archive print projected on 16mm film. Subtitled. Admission is free.
