Patricia A. Connolly Cahill, 50, a nurse and medical-claims specialist, died of melanoma July 3 at her home in Oreland.
Mrs. Cahill had been a medical claims specialist at Nationwide Insurance Co. in Conshohocken since 1998. Earlier she had been a surgical assistant for Thorpe Bailey Eye Associates in Wyndmoor and a nursing manager at Chestnut Hill Hospital.
She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Warminster. A graduate of Archbishop Wood High School in Levittown, she attended the Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing and graduated first in her class. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Eastern University and was a certified legal-medical consultant.
When her children were of school age, Mrs. Cahill was president of the PTA at Erdenheim Elementary School.
Mrs. Cahill is survived by her husband of 26 years, Martin T. Cahill; a son, Christopher; a daughter, Kaitlin; her mother, Elizabeth Connolly; three sisters, and a brother.
A funeral Mass was celebrated July 7 at St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church in Flourtown. Interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
