This weekend is full of excitement, the much-anticipated final installment to the Harry Potter series premiere's Friday, and a classic children's story is brought back to life. If you're interested in good food, make sure to attend this summer's University City dining days.

The much-awaited final installment in the Harry Potter series hits theaters this weekend and picks up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione setting out to destroy Voldemort’s final three horcruxes. The battle for the safety of the wizarding world is put into the hands of Dumbeldore’s Army.

What: Winnie the Pooh (G)

In the Hundred-Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh sets out to find honey, and after misinterpreting a note from Christopher Robin, Pooh convinces everyone that Christopher has been kidnapped by a creature called “Backson.” Pooh and his friends  set out on a mission to save him.

What: Moonlight Movies Series: Back to the Future

Mt. Airy USA is partnering with the Free Library of Philadelphia and the Trolley Car Diner to host a Moonlight Movies outdoor series that will run for six consecutive Fridays through August 12. This week’s movie is Back to the Future, a 1985 sci-fi adventure flick. Seating will begin at 8 p.m.

When: July 17 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

High Point Sunday Market will celebrate urban farmers and local crafts every Sunday through October. There will also be music concerts on the first Sunday of every month.

When: July 14 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: various restaurants around the University City

This weekend will kick-off University City’s annual summer Dining Days. Enjoy three courses at three price points: $15, $25, or $30. At each price point you have the option to choose from a variety of restaurants ranging from Indian to barbeque and everything inbetween.

What: Concert with The Large Flowerheads

Where: Abington Art Center

Abington Art Center and Abington Township’s Parks & Recreation Department are partnering to host a Thursday evening concert series in the Sculpture Park. Enjoy dancing, food from Trolley Car Diner, children’s activities, and more. Enjoy classic hits from The Large Flowerheads where they will bring back ‘60s pop music.
