Aug. 8. Stenton Avenue and Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 5 p.m. on Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, an unknown person stole a white 2005 Chevy G 1500, Pennsylvania tag ???1389.

The following crimes are from the week of Aug. 7 to Aug. 13, 2011.

Aug. 8. Stenton Avenue and Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 5 p.m. on Aug. 7 and Aug. 8, an unknown person stole a white 2005 Chevy G 1500, Pennsylvania tag ???1389.

Aug. 8. 100 block E. Bells Mill Road. Complainant states that at approximately 2:30 p.m. his burglar alarm went off. He discovered basement door was open and glass was cracked to door. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

Aug, 9. 7800 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that an unknown person stole two bicycles from front porch. The first was a purple bike with a child seat. The second was a blue and gray bike. Both were chained.

Aug. 9. 8100 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that between 8 and  8:30 p.m., an unknown person stole a black Trek mountain bike from front of house.

Aug. 9. 8000 block Roanoke Street. Complainant states that five black juveniles all dressed in dark clothing cut chain on his daughter’s bike and fled eastbound on Willow Grove Ave. towards Germantown Ave. Taken was a 24 speed yellow/black Magna bike.

Aug. 10. Valley Green Road & Wolcott Drive. Complainant states that between 4:15 and 5 p.m., an unknown person broke the driver’s side window and damaged door handle to a red 1998 Hyundai and stole a purse containing a Coach wallet, money, four identification cards and a Tom-Tom GPS.

Aug. 10. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that someone stole a license plate EDY5919 from a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant.

Aug, 13. Valley Green Inn and 7 Valley Green Road. Complainant states that when she returned to her vehicle she found driver’s side window broken and a Motorola Droid cell phone stolen.

Summary — Eight crimes for week: one burglary, one stolen vehicle, three thefts and three thefts from vehicles.
