Another attempted bank robbery, this time of PNC

Posted

For the second time in two weeks, a would be bank robber is being sought by police after a failed heist.

According to a release from the FBI, a man entered the PNC bank branch at 8340 Germantown Ave at 12:55 p.m., Thursday, March 15, and presented a teller with a demand note. Police say the man indicated to the teller that he was armed but fled the scene before getting any cash.

The subject is a black male in his late teens or 20s, approximately 5'6"  with a tattoo on his left forearm. He was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt when he entered the bank.

Police say the man should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information should call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. Callers can make anonymous tips.

Last week, police and the FBI said they were looking for a man who had failed to rob the Sovereign Bank in Chestnut Hill. That story can be found here.
