William G. Littleton II, investment broker

William G. Littleton II, 87, of Chestnut Hill, a retired investment broker, died March 26 of Alzheimer’s disease at Sunrise Assisted Living in Lafayette Hill.

Mr. Littleton had been a broker for WE Hutton & Co. Earlier he had been president of Summerdale Dye and Finishing Co.

After graduating from the Haverford School, he joined the Navy and served on the USS Barbero during World War II. Upon his return, he attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

He was a past member of the Union League of Philadelphia, the Huntington Valley Country Club, the Philadelphia Cricket Club, Sunnybrook Golf Club, Bald Peak and Mountain Lake in Lake Wales, Fla. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and gardener.

He is survived by sons William H., Peter D. and Richard S.; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Mr. Littleton’s wife, the former Maud Harwick, preceded him in death.

A graveside memorial was held on March 30 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1333 Old Welsh Road, Huntington Valley, PA 19006. Memorial donations may be made to St. John’s Church Chapel Fund at the above address. – WF
