Crime Report: Autographed Babe Ruth photo reported missing

The following crimes are from the week of Sept. 23 to Sept. 29, 2012.

Sept. 25. 7700 block St. Martin's Lane. Police responded to burglar alarm at 11:19 a.m. and found living room French door was forced open. Police did a walk-through and observed alarm key pad was on floor. Fingerprints were found.

Sept. 25. 300 block E. Gravers Lane. A homeowner returned at around 9:10 p.m. to find house was entered through rear window where a metal chair was used to pry it open. Yellow and white gold necklaces and bracelets were taken from jewelry box in master bedroom.

Sept. 26. Unit block W. Southhampton Ave. Homeowner reported that someone stole two bikes from in front of her house. Taken was an L.L. Bean hybrid bike with oversize seat and one blue Cannondale 20” hybrid bike. Reported at 8 p.m.

Sept. 28. Unit block W. Chestnut Hill Ave. A resident told police that his autographed photo of Babe Ruth is missing from his library. He last saw it a few weeks ago in his desk drawer. His secretary and housekeeper are the only other people with keys to his house.

Summary – Four crimes for week: two burglaries and two thefts.
