The following crimes are from the week of Oct. 14 to Oct. 20, 2012.

Oct. 15. 400 block W. Springfield Avenue. Police responded to an audible burglar alarm and found rear bathroom window forced open. Suspect tripped motion sensor to trigger alarm. Nothing seems to be missing at this time. Both suspects were black males, early 20’s, wearing white t-shirts. They fled in a black Chevy Impala or Caprice.

Oct. 15. 7700 block Stenton Avenue. Complainant states she was at a friend’s apartment watching television and necking with offender gave him a love bite on his neck. Offender began assaulting her, causing bruising on both arms and a swollen neck.

Oct. 16. Unit block W. Sunset Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person stole speakers that were outside by garage. Reported at 12 p.m.

Oct. 19. 7700 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person kicked in front glass panel and stole 20 to 25 cartons of various brands of cigarettes. Reported at 1:16 a.m.

Oct. 20. 100 block Highland Avenue. Complainant states that between 6 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 7 p.m. on Oct. 18, an unknown person attempted to pry open rear entry door but could not gain entry. Door frame and door knob were damaged.

Summary – Five crimes for week: three burglaries, one aggravated assault and one theft from vehicle.
