Teen Inc. members Ryan Seiss and Brennan O'Donnell spruce up the Teen Center, where donors can bring items for the SPCA.

Service is the game for Teenagers Inc., and on Monday, Jan. 21, Martin Luther King Day of Service is dedicated to Lindsay Budnick, who died in a car accident last year. Lindsay served many people during her lifetime and assisted Teenagers Inc. with many projects and had fun while she did so.

The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Teen Center. Teens will prepare and deliver fliers to businesses and neighbors for their SPCA collection. This collection will take place on Monday, Jan. 21, through Monday, Feb. 4. Items can be dropped on Friday nights at the Teen Center between 7:30-10:30 p.m and during business hours in the trashcans in front of Bone Appetit; 8517. Germantown Ave. and Philly Dog Spot at Rex and Germantown avenues.

Items that can be donated to the SPCA include metal food bowls, dog crates, heating lamps, jars of peanut butter, clean blankets and towels, scissors, leashes, dog harnesses, new toys, bones, heating pads, rubber gloves, bleach and dog and cat treats. All collected items will be delivered to our local SPCA.

Teens will also paint, decorate and clean-up the Teen Center. Young people are anxious to ready the Teen Center for a new music series on Fridays and Saturdays at the center. These nights will include Karaoke, performances by young musicians and talent show. Look for the schedule!

All young people from seventh to 12th grade can help out.

Please contact Teenagers, Inc. at Director@teensincphilly.org or call at 215-242-4976. Refreshments will be provided. Teen Center is located at 105 Bethlehem Pike.
