A 32-year-old old woman was robbed, beaten and tasered by two men Monday night, Jan. 14, after entering her parked car in the 200 block of E. Highland Avenue.

The woman, an employee of Osaka Restaurant, 8065 Germantown Ave., had just entered her car at 10:34 p.m. when she was approached by the two men, one of whom pointed a handgun at her and demanded money, according to police. After she threw her purse at him, the man began striking her on the head with the gun, hitting her multiple times. The men then dragged her from her car onto the street and tasered her.

The woman told police that before she lost consciousness, she saw the men running toward Germantown Ave. The men took $600 in cash and an iPhone from the woman's purse.

A resident on the block who heard the woman screaming ran out to assist her, police said. The man helped her into his house and called 911. Medics transported the woman to Einstein Hospital, where she was treated for a head injury and lacerations on her body and was later released.

Police said the suspects were two African-American males in their 20s. The one holding the handgun was described as wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweat shirt. The other, who tasered her, was described as wearing a dark, hooded sweat shirt.
