OMC opens a parish school hall of fame

As a highlight of the yearlong celebration for the school’s 150th Anniversary, Our Mother of Consolation Parish School is pleased to announce the Inaugural Class for the OMC Parish School Hall of Fame.

Inductees for the 2013 class include: Fr. John F. Casey, O.S.A (posthumous), The Honorable Armand Della Porta, Timothy and Marianne Dwyer, Margaret “Peggy” Hendrie, Timothy Hughes, Jeff Idler, Sr. Marcelline Marie Jones, SSJ (posthumous), Mrs. Marie Reinhart Jones (posthumous), Miss Mary Murray (posthumous) and Sr. Marie Rein, SSJ. (Marie Reinhart Jones was the editor of the Chestnut Hill Local from 1972 to 2000)

These honorees have contributed to the school as teachers, pastors, parents, students and parishioners. The induction into the Hall of Fame will take place at the School’s annual Spring Soiree on Saturday, April 20, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Whitemarsh Valley Country Club, 815 Thomas Rd in Lafayette Hill. In addition to the Hall of Fame induction, the evening includes cocktails, dinner, an auction, and a raffle for tuition credit to the school of the winner’s choice. All proceeds benefit Our Mother of Consolation Parish School.
