This past Wednesday night, singer/songwriter Suzie Brown kicked off the 65th year of the Pastorius Park Concert Series. Brown and her bandmates took the stage in front of a packed audience and performed well into the night, underneath the stars, on one of the nicest days of the year. The crowd, relaxing on picnic blankets and lounging in beach-chairs, were reminded by Brown and her music that it doesn't take much to have a great time: All you need is a cooler, some snacks, good company, and good tunes.
The Pastorius Park Concert Series will continue on Wednesday, June 26, with the Celtic folk music group, The John Byrne Band. The group will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the park.
