Fans of the Weaver’s Way chain of stores will be delighted to hear that the company is adding another store on Germantown Ave.

The new site will be called Weaver’s Way Next Door and will be on the site of the former Chestnut Hill Business Association on 8426 Germantown Ave. The CHBA’s new location is currently located on 16 E. Highland Ave.

Plans to move in and begin work on the 900 square-foot building are scheduled for Aug. 1, and the official opening of the store is slated to be later this year, during the first week of October.

The new store, similar to Weavers Way Across the Way in Mt. Airy, will sell mostly health and beauty aid products, such as Weaver’s Way brand vitamins and supplements. The store will also have many different sections, each dedicated to different aspects of health and beauty, such as men’s health, diet and energy, travel-size/sample and baby health and beauty aids.

According to Weaver’s Way Co-Op Marketing Director Rebecca Torpie, the company had good reasons to add another store in the area.

“The success of the store on Carpenters Lane and the store in Chestnut Hill were all big factors," Torpie said. “The opening of this store is a really good opportunity for us to break from the seams and expand.”

Torpie also credited the lack of many other health and beauty aid stores in the area as a factor for the new store plans.

“There aren’t many other health and beauty aid stores in the area” she said. CVS is the only other similar store.”
