OMC Parish School welcomes two new teachers

Our Mother of Consolation Parish School will welcome two new teachers to its staff for the 2013-14 school year.

Ms. Caroline Stutz will be the sixth grade homeroom teacher and will teach math to all of the upper classes (grades 5-8). Mrs. Michele Snyder will take the helm in the 4- year-old Pre-kindergarten program as OMC expands its program into separate 3- and 4- year old classes.

Ms. Stutz is a graduate of Chestnut Hill College where she was a member of the collegiate National Honors Society and the recipient of the college’s President’s Leadership Award. She holds a bachelor of science and certification in math education.

With the expansion of our Pre-kindergarten program into separate 3- and 4-year-old classes, Mrs. Michele Snyder will join OMC to lead our 4-year-old class. Ms. Christine Gallagher will remain as the director of Early Childhood Education, and will teach the 3-year-old class.

Mrs. Snyder received her bachelor of science in early childhood and elementary education from West Chester University, and her masters of education from Cabrini College. Mrs. Snyder previously directed the kindergarten program at St. Carthage School for six years, and then took time to start her own family. Most recently she directed the Zion Lutheran Preschool.

“We welcome Ms. Stutz and Mrs. Snyder to the OMC staff,” said Bruce Hagy, principal at OMC Parish School. “Our faculty is excellent, and the skills that these two new teachers bring to their classes will only enhance our curriculum and the educational experience for our students.”
