David Rosenberg, lawyer and developer

David Rosenberg, 63, formerly of Mt. Airy, a lawyer and a real estate developer in Northwest Philadelphia, died Dec. 3 of complications of Crohn’s disease at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., where he and his wife, Lucia, had been living for the past three years.

For the past three decades, Mr. Rosenberg had been a real estate developer, restoring properties in Mt. Airy, Germantown and East Falls that he felt were architecturally significant

Earlier he had worked with the law firm of Marsh & Horowitz in Media, and in marketing and sales at Ogden Foods.

Born in Abington, Mr. Rosenberg graduated from the Hun School at Princeton and what is now St. Joseph’s University. He received his law degree from Temple University Law School.

He was a jazz fan, a student of World War II history and an avid collector of art and photography.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Evelyn; brothers Andrew, of Miami, and Stuart, of Elkins Park, and a sister, Elaine. Memorial donations may be sent to the Cleff Foundation, 738 S. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19146, or to any Crohn’s disease organization. – WF
