The Rev. Walter O. Reimet, a member of the Foundation Board at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and an LTSP alumnus, died Dec. 22 at Seasons Hospice of Phoenixville.

Mr. Reimet also was a member of the Mt. Airy seminary's Alumni Council for many years and frequently attended seminary events.

In retirement, he lived at Shannondale, a retirement community in Audubon, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Phoenixville.

A Philadelphia native, he was a graduate of Central High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Muhlenberg College before attending the seminary. He served for three decades as pastor of Temple Lutheran Church in Havertown.

Mr. Reimet is survived by daughters Pamela Reimet McGuire, of Foxborough, Mass., Karen Reimet, of King of Prussia, and Elizabeth Reimet, of Fort Washington; a brother, Richard, and six grandchildren. Mr. Reimet's wife, the former Virginia Hines, died in 2009.

A memorial service was held Jan. 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Memorial donations may be made to the above church for the MaaSae Girls' Lutheran Secondary School Fund. – WF
