This Saturday, the 44th Annual Mt. Airy Day will hit the Avenue with food, entertainment and shopping. From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Cliveden of the National Trust will host live music and games for kids.
To add to the excitement, two stages will be installed for the music entertainment. Appearances will be made by MC Doug Henderson from WDAS, DJ Doc Rob, Settlement Music School Jazz Band, Option and others on the main stage. Sarah Napolitan, Jude Alvarez, Teri Rambo will find their home at the "Fruit Tart Music Bijou" Stage, along with Bethlehem & Sad Patrick, Jason Parish and thenumaninblak!.
Mt. Airy Day history dates back to May of 1968 with the first “Community Day” held at Pleasant Playground. This day eventually morphed into what is today known as Mt. Airy Day.
Many of the best Philadelphia food trucks will be stationed at the festival. Shopping will include handmade items along with art an jewelry.
Mt. Airy Day is presented by East Mt. Airy Neighbors and West Mt. Airy Neighbors and is sponsored by the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, Chestnut Hill Hospital, Mt. Airy Animal Hospital and others.
