Crime Report: 1 robbery, 1 burglary

The following crimes are from the week of August 3 to August 9, 2014.

Aug. 4. 600 block St. Andrews Road. Complainant states that an unknown person entered house and stole the following: one 12” Dewalt compound miter saw, Hitachi framing gun, chipping drill, portable table saw, two step ladders, compressor, Makita cordless kit, hoses, saw blades, copper sheet and hand tools.

Aug. 4. 300 block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m., an unknown person entered house while husband and children were asleep in another room.

Aug. 4. Valley Green Road. Complainant states that her green 1996 Chevy Camaro was broken into and a red Liz Claiborne purse, license, identification, Susquehanna bank card, train tickets, checkbook and Moto G. phone were taken.

Aug. 5. 9600 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person removed a 20 foot length copper drain pipe from Mt. St. Joseph Convent Chapel at Chestnut Hill College.

Aug. 5. 8200 block Ardleigh Street. Black offender approached complainant on front steps and stole a woman’s purse containing less than $50 in cash. The woman began screaming at which time offender fled and jumped into a black Nissan Altima, put car into reverse going Northbound on Ardleigh.

Aug. 7. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant/investigator for store states that offender took items off shelf without paying and left store.

Aug. 7. 8900 block Crefeld Street. Complainant states that an unknown person entered her vehicle by breaking passenger side window and stole one Lucky handbag, one Michael Kors wallet, credit cards, insurance card and driver's license.

Summary – Seven crimes for week: one robbery, one burglary, three thefts and two thefts from vehicles.
