Crime Report • Chestnut Hill The following crimes are from the week of May 8 to May 14, 2005 May 10. 9600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that she and a friend were attending a class. They left the classroom for a break and when they returned their two computers were gone. Taken was a Dell Inspirorn laptop with a wireless card and a Sony laptop with a wireless card. Reported at 3:20 p.m. May 11. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainants all made reports at 10 p.m. First complainant states that an unknown person pried open passenger door to a 1995 Escort and stole registration card. Second complainant states that an unknown person pried open the passenger side door and stole radio, 100 compact disks and sunglasses. Third complainant states that an unknown person broke the rear window of a 1995 Pontiac and stole compact disks. Fourth complainant states that his 1993 Toyota had door pried open and two subwoofers, one amp and one head unit were taken. Fifth complainant states that the driver side door frame was damaged and a Kenwood dash radio and a few compact disks were stolen. May 11. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that between 9 p.m. on May 10 and 7 a.m. on May 11, an unknown person broke the right rear vent window and stole a Pioneer compact disk/radio. May 13. 8400 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that between 2 and 3:30 p.m. her pink wallet was stolen, containing a Pennsylvania driver’s license, assorted credit cards and money. Complainant states that two black females were in store when theft was discovered. First female, 31 – 35 years old, dark complexion and thin build; second female, 31 – 35 years old, dark complexion, thin build, driving a blue Chevy Blazer. May 13. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that an unknown male punched her in the face and took her black purse and a black wallet containing various credit cards, driver’s license and car keys. Offender, black male, 6’ to 6’2” tall, medium build, light complexion, wearing a black leather coat, tan and white cap and black pants. Occurred at 10:40 p.m. May 14. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Between 6:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., an unknown person stole a black 1996 Honda, Pennsylvania tag DND1139. May 14. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a wallet containing money, stamps, various credit cards, driver’s license, health card and insurance card. Occurred at 1:30 p.m. Summary — Eleven crimes for week: one robbery, one stolen vehicle, six thefts from vehicles and three other thefts.
