Crime Report • Chestnut Hill

The following crimes are from the week of May 15 to May 21, 2005

May 17. 8200 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that between April 11 when car was brought in, and May 3 when it was discovered missing, dealer has been checking for paperwork trying to find vehicle. Vehicle is leased gray 2002 Ford Taurus.

May 19. 8100 block Shawnee Street. Complainant states that she left vehicle, which was locked, and when she returned she noticed that vehicle was unlocked and several items were stolen. Taken was one laptop computer, one car stereo, 10 CDs and hair and make-up products. Reported at 7 p.m. on May 18.

May 19. 8100 block Shawnee Street. Complainant states that she left vehicle locked and when she returned the driver’s side door lock had been pried open. Taken were a car radio/compact player, 15 compact disks, two board games and a jacket. Complainant states that she heard an alarm but did not look out the window. Reported at 8:30 p.m. on May 18.

May 20. 400 block W. Willow Grove Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person stole 22 checks from a lock box. Banks have been notified. Occurred on Feb. 28.

Summary — Four crimes for week: two thefts from vehicles and two other thefts.
