OMC track receives 19 medals in area championships

The OMC track team has put in an outstanding performance this 2005 season. OMC came home with 35 ribbons from the divisional championships, held on May 15. Area Championships were held at Roxborough High School on May 2, where OMC received 19 medals. The OMC boys placed 4th out of 23 CYO teams while the OMC girls finished 17th.

Medalists for OMC parish included:

Gabriel Johnson: 100 meter, 200 meters; Alex Hill: 800 meters, 1600 meters; Gabriel Johnson, Trey Gregory, John Evans, Alex Hill: relay team; Elizabeth Nolan: long jump; Ian Holland, Brendan Dwyer, Michael Dwyer, Jared Irvin: relay team; Brendan Dwyer: long jump; Ian Holland: shot put; Chelsea Aleo: triple jump; Dan Galante: triple jump, long jump.

Coach Mark Robertson and assistant coaches Anthony Iraci and Stephen Robertson have led an outstanding team. Fourteen OMC athletes placed for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Championships held at West Chester University on June 4.
