chcanewsConcert volunteers needed

As the 2005 Pastorius Park summer concert series gets underway, CHCA social division vice president Tia Burke said last week that the concert committee is in “dire need” of volunteers.

At least six to eight volunteers are needed to help with this week’s kick off concert, which takes place Wednesday June 15, and with next Wednesday’s (June 22) Full Frontal Folk show. Arrive at 6 p.m for set up or between 7 and 9:30 p.m. to help pass the fishbowl and work the concession stand. Clean-up help is needed from 9:30 to 10 p.m.

On Saturday, June 18, the newly-repaired stage will be set up in the park, where it will remain for the duration of the concert season. Four to six moderately handy people are needed to help.

Concert posters and schedules are in the CHCA offices, and the committee also needs people to distribute them.

Concerts will take place in the park every Wednesday now through August 17. Upcoming shows include Klingon Klez on June 29, the Chestnut Brass on July 6 and Phil Roy on July 13. For a complete schedule, go to: www.chestnuthilllocal.com. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m.
