Crime Report • Chestnut Hill

The following crimes are from the week of May 29 to June 4, 2005

May 27. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that he was in his apartment and heard a noise at the door. He looked through peephole and saw offenders trying to pry open door. He unlocked door and offenders ran and no entry was made. Both offenders were white and one was known and worked with complainant in Plymouth Meeting. First known male, 5’10” tall, thin build, goatee, short brown hair, wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans and black hat; second unknown male, 5’10” tall, wearing a white t-shirt. Occurred at 9:50 p.m.

June 10. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that after two black males left store she noticed approximately 20 DVDs missing. First male, 30 – 40 years old, wearing a black jacket with white stripes, white t-shirt, black shorts with flip flops. Second male, 25 – 30 years old, beard, wearing a white t-shirt, dark jacket and dark shorts. Occurred at 10:45 a.m.

June 11. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that an unknown black male stole three DVDs tucked under his shirt and fled store, escaping in an unknown direction. Male, 26 – 30 years old, dark complexion, wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.

Summary — Three crimes for week: one burglary and two retail thefts.
