Festival of arts, spirituality and justice at Chestnut Hill College

Chestnut Hill College is partnering with Philadelphia’s Arts and Spirituality Center to present an interactive, interfaith, interdisciplinary event: an arts, spirituality, and justice festival to be held Sunday, June 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The evening will include poetry, dance, and music, along with a presentation by Reverend Susan Teegen-Case of the Arts and Spirituality Center.

Teegen-Case will share her inspiring vision of the transformative power of the arts in our communities, made possible through programs such as “Teens With Power Theater,” in which neighborhood youth present alternatives to violence through theater and the arts. Teegen-Case was the recipient of the 2005 Social and Racial Justice Award given by The First United Methodist Church of Germantown.

The festival, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the combined east parlor/rotunda area of St. Joseph Hall, located at 9601 Germantown Avenue. There is free parking on campus. For information, call Cathy Nerney, SSJ, Ph.D. at 215.248.7099 or e-mail nerneyc@chc.edu.
