The last week of the season finds the league clearly delineated between top and bottom, but the remaining match-ups include some contests with big implications.

The Dodgers and Pirates will battle for the 5th playoff seed on June 9, while the Dodgers come right back on Friday, June 11 to play spoiler when the Braves attempt to repeat as division champs. That is if the Braves can hold off the charging Phillies in their contest on June 10.

Should the Phillies prevail on Thursday they will be only one game back with one to play against the Cardinals, their season-long nemesis, on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Also on Saturday, the Cubs will try to stay on their steady track as they face the Mets at 3 p.m. and the Pirates look to redeem themselves against the Braves at 5 p.m. The Giants will face the Dodgers at 1 p.m.

Hold on to your hats and grab a seat in the Water Tower bleachers as the season comes to a dramatic conclusion. Playoffs start Monday, June 14, in double elimination format.
