Crime Report • Chestnut Hill

The following crimes are from the week of June 27 to July 2, 2005.

June 27. 100 block E. Evergreen Ave. Complainant states she returned home and found her trash can thrown off her porch. Screen door had been pushed in and front door had a chip of wood missing. Entry was not gained. Reported at 3 a.m.

June 29. 7600 block Crittenden Street. Between 8 p.m. on June 28 and 9 a.m. on June 29, an unknown person stole a silver 1995 Mazda 626, Pennsylvania tag PLD885.

June 30. 7700 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person attempted to steal tires from a 2000 Nissan Maxima. Reported at 10 a.m. on June 28.

July 2. 700 block Glengary Road. Complainant states she left her red leather purse containing money, seven various cards, passport and Mass. driver’s license in downstairs bedroom with rear door open. When she returned from upstairs she found purse missing. Reported at 8:20 p.m. on July 1.

July 2. 8300 Seminole Street. Complainant states that between 11:30 p.m. on July 1 and 7:30 a.m. on July 2, an unknown person entered property through greenhouse door and stole one Compaq desktop computer, money and credit cards.

July 2. 8300 block Seminole Street. Complainant flagged down police in reference to his car being broken into when he was on vacation. Car doors were open and taken was a Mobil gas card, 20 DVDs, a pair of sunglasses and money. Taken from a black 2000 Chevrolet Suburban. Reported at 12 a.m. on June 30.

July 2. Unit block E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that an unknown person stole a copper downspout from house. Reported at 7 p.m.

Summary — Seven crimes for week: three burglaries, one stolen vehicle, two thefts from vehicles and one residential theft.
