Crime Report • Chestnut Hill

The following crimes are from the week of July 10 - 16, 2005.

July 10. 7700 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that she was walking to her vehicle when unknown offenders approached her in parking lot and stole her beige clutch bag containing various IDs, credit cards, house key and two sets of car keys. Males fled in an unknown vehicle with partial Pennsylvania tag ENJ. Occurred at 9:15 p.m.

July 11. 7700 block Stenton Ave. complainant states he was on vacation when he received a phone call from his parents that the passenger side window of his car was smashed in and missing were 10 CDs, various coins and a City of Philadelphia Sunoco credit card. Reported at 10 a.m. on July 9.

July 12. 200 block E. Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that unknown males took her bicycle from outside her house without her permission. Black male, 16-20 years old, 5’8” tall, thin building, wearing a white t-shirt. Other descriptions not available at this time. Occurred at 4 p.m.

July 14. 7900 block Stenton Ave. Complainant states that he parked his 1994 Chevy Blazer at 2 a.m. and when he went to vehicle at 7 a.m., he found rear passenger window smashed in and a silver Pioneer compact disk/radio stolen.

July 14. 8200 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that a black female removed a Bank of America credit card and a Mellon Bank credit card. Female, 16-20 years old, 5’7” tall, thin yellow shirt, dark sunglasses. Mohawk hairstyle, blue jeans and black bag. Occurred at 3 p.m.

July 15. 200 block W. Highland Ave. Complainant states he parked his vehicle in front of his home at 7:30 a.m. on July 14 and when he returned at 2 a.m. on July 15, his black 2000 Toyota Camry, Pennsylvania tag P516055 was gone.

July 15. Between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., an unknown person pried open apartment door and stole one laptop computer, one digital camera, one Playstation and two games, a two-tone gold bracelet with gold heart of diamonds and possibly other jewelry. Rear door of building has been broken for two months.

Summary — Seven crimes for week, one robbery, one burglary, one stolen vehicle, two thefts from vehicles and one residential theft and one other theft.
