FUN WITH GEOMETRY AT NFA. The famous and much enjoyed robots from Star Wars, C3PO and R2D2, could have found a home in the fourth grade math area at Norwood-Fontbonne Academy this spring. While learning about geometric and solid figures, the students were challenged to create an alien prototype using cylinders, rectangular prisms, pyramids, cones, cubes, spheres, squares, triangles, circles and rectangles. The results were imaginative and clever with names such as Trigon, Recycler, Georgey the Ice Cream Alien, or Puddles the Robot. (Front) Annie Rose Masciantonio; (back, l.-r.)
