Local athletes sign to play college sports
Fourteen scholar athletes from William Penn Charter School – including 10 young women –gathered earlier this year to celebrate and finalize their college selection. Before a gathering of friends and delighted parents, the students announced their commitment to play their sports at some of the country’s most prestigious colleges and universities.
“We congratulate you on your dedication to your studies and your sport,” said Deborah White, director of girls' athletics. “We’re very proud of all that you have achieved.”
