Aug. 7. 8400 block Anderson Street. Between 6 and 9 p.m., on Aug. 5, an unknown person stole a red bicycle from an open garage.
Aug. 7. Wolcott and Valley Green Drive. Between 3:30 and 6 p.m., an unknown person broke the driver’s window and rooted through vehicle. Nothing was taken.
Aug. 9. 8400 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that at 9:15 a.m., she made coffee and when she returned to cash register she found it open and money taken. Black male was seen at register on videotape. Male, 5’7” tall, thin build, wearing a white t-shirt, white sneakers, dark shorts and a baseball cap.
Aug. 10. Crittenden Street and Mermaid Lane. Complainant states that his gray 1986 Dodge Dakota, Pennsylvania tag YRL2060 was parked in parking lot on Aug. 5; on Aug. 6 he noticed it missing.
Aug. 10. 8000 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that an unknown person tried kicking in front door to apartment. Entry was not made and all locks are intact. Former tenant was evicted three to four months ago, although his belongings are still held by landlord. His address is unknown. Reported at 7:30 p.m.
Aug. 10. 8600 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that while she was helping a customer, a black male stole money from drawer. Male, 5’10” tall, medium build, short hair, mid-30s, with a Jamaican accent, wearing a white t-shirt and white shorts. Occurred at 1:45 p.m.
Aug. 11. 100 block W. Highland Ave. An unknown person stole tags from a 1998 Ford Escort. Reported at 3 p.m.
Aug. 12. Mermaid Lane and Crittenden Street. Complainant states she was walking eastbound on Mermaid Lane when two black males came up to her from behind and stated, “give me your money and don’t make me shoot you.” Complainant turned around and saw male #1 who had a silver/black long-nose handgun. Male took money and fled. First male, 5’10” tall, 19-23 years old, mustache, medium complexion, heavy build. Second male, 5’10” tall, medium complexion, 16-18 years old. Both men wore white t-shirts, blue dickies and had close-cut hair.
Aug. 12. 600 block Gatehouse Lane. Complainant states she observed male who was a passenger in a white sedan riding up and down street. Complainant saw male on her property, he ran down onto complainant’s patio on east side of house and then ran away very fast carrying a case of beer. Male got into vehicle, which went east on Gatehouse Lane towards McCallum Street. Occurred at 5:38 p.m.
Aug. 12. 8300 block Ardleigh Street. Complainant states that he was on vacation and a neighbor saw a black male cutting the windows of a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. Male stole inspection sticker, insurance card and registration card.
Aug. 12. 9600 block Germantown Ave. Employee from private business states that two of their trucks were broken into by locks being punched out. Taken were various electrical tools. Reported at 2:20 a.m.
Aug. 12. 9600 block. Complainant states that while doing construction work the rear locks to his van were stolen, and electrical tools, socket set and wrenches were missing. Reported at 7 a.m.
Aug. 13. 8200 block Germantown Ave. Complainant states that while eating lunch with friends, an unknown person stole a black leather wallet containing two credit cards, bankcard, money and driver’s license from her purse. Black male, 36-40 years old, light complexion, wearing a two-tone blue striped shirt with dark pants.
