Wiring cause of Sugarloaf fire

Wyncliffe House, the Victorian Gothic building at Sugarloaf Conference Center, was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of December 12. The building was unoccupied and there were no injuries, according to Harriet Goodheart, director of public relations at Temple University, which owns the facility.

First home game a win for CHC men

After Chestnut Hill College president Carol Jean Vale, SSJ, tossed up the basketball for a ceremonial opening tip last Tuesday evening, the newly minted Griffins mens’ team took the court for the first home game they’d ever played.

Before an enthusiastic crowd, Chestnut Hill turned away visiting Valley Forge Christian College, 80-70, to even its season record at 2-2. Although CHC pulled out to a 20-point halftime lead in the home opener, the visiting Patriots staged enough of a comeback attempt...
