Wiring cause of Sugarloaf fire

Wyncliffe House, the Victorian Gothic building at Sugarloaf Conference Center, was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of December 12. The building was unoccupied and there were no injuries, according to Harriet Goodheart, director of public relations at Temple University, which owns the facility.

Rector resigns from St. Paul’s Church

The Rev. John R. Francis has resigned as rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Chestnut Hill. Francis, who has been the spiritual leader of the church since 1997, will leave in early January.
