The following crimes are from the week of Dec. 19 to Dec. 25, 2010.
Dec. 19. 8000 block Roanoke Street. Complainants state that they left their home at approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 17 and returned at 12:10 a.m. on Dec. 19 to find upstairs bedroom ransacked. Point of entry possibly was front door or basement door. Both were left unlocked.
Dec, 21. 200 block E. Evergreen Avenue. Complainant states that she was walking eastbound on Evergreen Avenue when offender came up from behind and snatched her purse. Taken was her purse containing a checkbook, various credit cards and a driver’s license.
Dec. 21. 8200 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that between 2 and 4:30 p.m., an unknown person kicked open front door of building and front door to first floor apartment. Taken was a Dell laptop computer and an antique gold diamond ring.
Dec. 22. 8000 block Crittenden Street. Complainant states that between 5:45 and 7 p.m., an unknown person forced open steel door. Door was dented and wooden frame was split apart.
Dec. 23. 200 block E. Evergreen Avenue. Complainant who wasn’t home was informed by a friend that her apartment had been burglarized. Entry was made by kicking in rear kitchen door. Several dresser drawers were pulled open and a pink diamond necklace was stolen.
Dec. 23. 8600 block Germantown Avenue. Complainant states that he left his cell phone on counter and when he returned it was gone. Reported at 11 a.m.
Summary — Six crimes for week: four burglaries and two thefts.
