Snow surprise, Philadelphia School District schools to dismiss at noon

Snow fell faster than expected this morning.

A good dose of snow caught the region by surprise with a good 4 to 5 inches of slippery stuff before 8 a.m. Schools in Philadelphia were not  cancelled this morning, but Philadelphia Public Schools have scheduled early dismissal for noon today.

Otherwise, Chestnut Hill seemed to be largely open for business as usual.

We’ll have more on snow fall and an update of any school dismissals when we get them, so check back for more.
