‘Canterville Ghost’ tonight for the Chestnut Hill Film Series

Come to the Chestnut Hill branch of the Free Library tonight for the 7:30 p.m. showing of ‘Canterville Ghost’, a 1944 comedic fantasy about a four-hundred year old ghost who is serving a life sentence as a ghost until one of his descendants performs a good deed. Starring Charles Laughton as Sir Simon the ghost, Robert Young as Cuffy Williams, his American descendant, and Margaret O’Brien as Lady Jessica. Written by Oscar Wilde and directed by Jules Dassin. Running time is 114 minutes. Admission is free.
