Mr. Morasco had operated an antiques shop in the 8100 block of Germantown Avenue from 1955 to 1964, then moved his business to “Antiques Row” at 10th and Pine streets in Philadelphia.
Earlier, he had worked for the Filippi Brothers iron-working firm in Chestnut Hill and for a time had his own welding and iron-working shop in the 7900 block of Germantown Avenue. Here he constructed metal gates for the Bethlehem Steel Company.
Mr. Morasco served in World War II with the Army Engineer Corps in England and Germany. He was an active member of Chestnut Hill’s VFW Post 5205.
Born and raised in Chestnut Hill, he was one of eight children of Giachino and Filomena Chioda Morasco.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Evelyn Hayter; a daughter, Joan Parsons; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A son, John L. Morasco, and seven siblings preceded him in death.
