May 23. 8600 block Prospect Avenue. Complainant states that between 1 a.m. on May 22 and 8 a.m. on May 23, an unknown person pried open passenger side window of automobile and stole money.
May 23. Unit block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that an unknown person broke out passenger side window of his 2002 silver Volkswagen GTI and stole an 80gb iPod.
May 24. 1 Valley Green Road. Complainant states that she observed a black male trying to break into her vehicle and yelled at him. Male fled up Valley Green Road towards Springfield Ave. Complainant had left her purse on front floor of vehicle and had left rear window rolled down. Reported at 1:15 p.m.
May 25. Unit block E. Chestnut Hill Avenue. Complainant states that someone stole his black Marin mountain bike while he was in doctor’s office. Reported at 3:15 p.m.
May 26. Unit block W. Willow Grove Avenue. Complainant states that between 2:15 and 6:05 a.m., an unknown person broke into his 2008 Toyota 4 Runner and stole one Canon camera and an iPod.
May 27. 8300 block Anderson Street. Complainant states she had numerous workers in her house and when they left she discovered many things missing. Money, a diamond ring, one Baume & Mercier gold watch, and one pair of aqua colored earrings.
Summary — Six crimes for week: two thefts and four thefts from vehicles. Summer is here. Keep those doors and windows locked to cars and homes.
