The right lane of Lincoln Drive, between Wissahickon Avenue and Ridge Avenue/Kelly Drive, will be closed temporarily on Tuesday, Nov. 8, Streets Commissioner Clarena I. W. Tolson announced today.  The following temporary lane- closure is scheduled to be in effect from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

• Southbound Lincoln Drive traffic will have to merge to the left below Wissahickon Drive.  The lane closure will end immediately past the work zone.

• Northbound traffic will not be affected.

The temporary closure will allow City employees to safely work along this winding stretch of road.  This work has been scheduled for the daytime in order to expedite repairs and minimize disruption. Police Department assistance will be on site to help maintain a safe traffic flow in the area.

All work is expected to be completed and the lane reopened by 3 p.m.  For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected motorists, residents and businesses.  The Streets Department thanks citizens in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
