Susan E. Kowert, 66, an accountant who was a former bookkeeper for the Chestnut Hill Local, died April 13 at her home in Erdenheim.
Ms. Kowert had worked at the Local from 2006 to 2011, and earlier had held a variety of accounting positions, including one with Entegris, a manufacturer of critical materials for high technology applications, that took her to Germany, Japan and other Asian countries.
Born and raised in Chicago, she held bachelor’s degrees from Valparaiso University and the University of Minnesota, and an M.B.A. from St. Thomas University.
She is survived by a daughter, Jessica Kilfeather; brothers Doug, Gene and Bruce Kowert, and two grandchildren. Another daughter, Rachel E. Oye, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Craft Funeral Home, 814 Bethlehem Pike, in Erdenheim. Relatives and friends may call at 10 a.m. Interment is private.
