At the start of the NCAA’s early signing period on November 14, seven Penn Charter seniors assembled in the school’s Gummere Library, where each signed a National Letter of Intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
From left are Kelly Kubach (lacrosse, University of Michigan), Meredith Wurtz (swimming, Marist College), Jamal Willis (swimming, Lehigh University), Charles Giunta (lacrosse, St. Joseph’s University), Ray Vandergrift (lacrosse, St. Joseph’s University), Kevin Murphy (lacrosse, Monmouth University), and Eric Berger (lacrosse, Monmouth University). Other PC athletes have made verbal commitments to play in college, and will sign NLI’s on or after February 6, which marks the beginning of the regular signing period for most sports.
