Do you wake up every morning with a “crick” in your neck that won’t quit? Maybe it’s the knees that ache and crackle every time you go up or down stairs. And how about that awful pain way down inside that makes you flinch from the touch of even those you care about most?

You’re not alone and you don’t have to keep on suffering. The Chestnut Hill Center for Enrichment invites you to hear about “Managing Your Pain,” a discussion with Penn Nursing Consultation Services, at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. You may be surprised by what exercise, good nutrition and eating habits, plus non-medicinal pain strategies can do! This program is sponsored by Philadelphia Corporation for Aging, and is suitable for anyone of any age

The very next day – Wednesday, June 5 – also at 1p.m., come to the Center for Enrichment to meet longtime Mt. Airy resident Joel Levinson. For a man who spent the better part of a lifetime as an architect, turning to photography as a means of expression and creation may not be a stretch. But writing a novel set in far-away war-torn Bosnia seems quite another matter!

Meet Mr. Levinson and hear about his creative journey. Listen as he reads from β€œThe Reluctant Hunter.” Come back the following week (June 12, another Wednesday afternoon), to talk more with Joel Levinson about his personal style of photography and writing, the part research played in developing his book, getting published and more.

These programs take place in the CHCE living room, 8431 Germantown Ave. (side entrance). They are free, open to the public and will be followed by refreshments. RSVP to the Center for Enrichment office (215-248-0180 or the.chce@verizon.net) no later than Monday, June 3 at 3 p.m.
