With Mount St. Joseph’s successful outcome in a league game at Nazareth Academy last Thursday evening, John Miller (standing, fourth from left) recorded his 200th win as head coach of the Magic. Miller had already been a well known head coach in boys’ high school basketball and women’s college basketball when he took the reigns of the Mount program in the 2006-2007 season, and he led the Magic to the PIAA Class AAA state championship the following year. Thursday’s 57-30 victory gave Miller’s current crop of Mounties an overall record of 13-1 and – thanks to a St. Basil loss to Gwynedd Mercy over the weekend – gave them sole possession of first place in the Athletic Association of Catholic Academies.
