18 Springside Chestnut Hill Academy junior and senior boys were honored at a Cum Laude Society Induction Ceremony. Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is dedicated to honoring scholastic achievement in secondary schools. Chelsey Roebuck ’06, CHA alumnus, spoke at the boys’ ceremony. Chelsey is the president and co-founder of Emerging Leaders in Technology and Engineering, Inc. (ELiTE). Since graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University in 2010, Chelsey has worked in Harlem for the Abyssinian Development Corporation and with the Columbia University School of Social Work to coordinate a dropout prevention program at one of America’s lowest performing schools.

Founded in 1906, the Cum Laude Society is dedicated to honoring scholastic achievement in secondary schools. Dr. Anne Matlack ’77, Springside Alumna, spoke at the girls’ ceremony. Since 1987, Anne has been the artistic director of the nationally recognized Harmonium Choral Society, which, under her direction, has become one of the finest choral arts organizations in New Jersey. She serves as choirmaster and organist at Grace Episcopal Church, where she directs a full program of choirs and a concert series, Grace Community Music.
