A VERY SWEET COMPANION: Sofi is a sweet, special kitty. She is almost 3 and has been raised with bunnies since she was a kitten and lived side-by-side with them. Here she is seen with one of her bunny friends who is in a “wheelchair.” She has not been exposed to dogs, but she gets along great with other cats. She was spayed at about 6 weeks and has not had other surgeries or health issues. Sofi loves to play with toys and to talk to birds and squirrels. She loves company, animal and human. ANGEL DESERVES HEAVEN: Betsy is an adorably sweet five year old tabby that was saved minutes away from euthanasia. She would prefer to be the only kitty to be the center of your world! Betsy is gentle, loves warm hugs, cuddles and would be great around caring children! Please give this angel a heaven to call her own! Betsy is in foster care and is spayed, vetted and microchipped. More info at GDeNofa@aol.com, or see Betsy's music video on YouTube under the title: (ACCT Foster: don't let Betsy fall) http://youtu.be/5UgbIsVKKCo
BEAUTIFUL BICHON: Weavers Way's fourth annual Petapalooza, a street festival celebrating the animals in our lives, took place June 7 between noon and 4 p.m. on Carpenter Lane near Greene and Sherman Streets in Mt. Airy. Several pet rescue organizations were present to encourage adoptions. This sweet Bichon Frise was one of the forever home hopefuls brought by Dan Solomon, June Gross and Anne Marie O'Donnell of Morris Animal Refuge, a 137-year-old organization at 1242 Lombard St. which was the first in the U.S. to care for cats. HEAD BUMPS FOR YOU: Bartholomeow is devoted sweetheart who was found hungry and wounded. He ran straight towards a volunteer, crying for food and love. Once vetted and inside, Bartholomeow gives grateful licks and head bumps anytime someone gives him a moment of their time. Bartholomeow is healthy and strikingly exotic with jade eyes and a golden tabby coat. Bart is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FeLv.
