 Quintessence Theatre Group opens its third season with Shakespeare’s trage
 dy Othello.</p>\n<p>Othello the Moor is the celebrated general of Venice. 
 Virtuous\, steadfast and politic\, Othello falls in love and impetuously m
 arries Desdemona\, a powerful senator’s daughter. Iago\, an ambitious subo
 rdinate\, turns mortal enemy when Othello makes Cassio\, an untested schol
 ar of war\, his new lieutenant. Reason and passion collide as Iago preys o
 n Othello’s greatest vulnerability\, his love for Desdemona.</p>\n<p>In an
  electrifying return to the Elizabethan tradition of all-male Shakespeare\
 , Quintessence regulars Khris Davis and Josh Carpenter will lead the ten-a
 ctor ensemble. They will be joined by Ross Bennett Hurwitz who makes his Q
 uintessence and Philadelphia debut as Desdemona.</p>\n<p>Othello plays Oct
 ober 10 – November 4. Post-show discussions with the cast and director wil
 l take place on Thursday\, October 24 and Sunday\, October 28. Performance
 s take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.\, Fridays and Saturdays
  at 8 p.m.\, and Sundays at 3 p.m.</p>\n<p>Tickets are $30\, $20 for senio
 rs (65 and over)\, $15 for youth (25 and under). There are $10 industry an
