DESCRIPTION:<p>The Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) will host a public meet
 ing to discuss progress to date on the Sustainable Trails Initiative (STI)
 \, upcoming STI projects\, and new park signage for Wissahickon Valley Par
 k on Thursday\, December 6\, 2012\, at 6 p.m. at Founders Hall\, New Coven
 ant Campus. A representative from Philadelphia Parks and Recreation will b
 e present.</p>\n<p>The Sustainable Trails Initiative is a multi-year proje
 ct to make the 50 miles of National Recreation Trails in the Wissahickon a
  physically and socially sustainable system that works for all park users.
  This project is being executed in partnership with Philadelphia Parks &#0
 38\; Recreation.</p>\n<p>Upcoming work includes projects at the Andorra Na
 tural Area and the Wissahickon Environmental Center\, and includes a signa
 ge plan that has been in development for approximately five years and is p
 art of STI. This signage project is the first comprehensive plan for a new
  park-wide signage system that will orient park users during their visits 
 to the Wissahickon and help them deal with potential safety and health eme
 rgencies on the trails.</p>\n<p>New Covenant Campus is located at 7500 Ger
