A Speaker Night on early European settlement of Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township will be held on Thursday night. It is a joint program of the Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township Historical Societies. Presentations will include “Chestnut Hill and Springfield Township: 18th-century Land Development and Architecture,” by Jefferson M. Moak, Senior Archivist, National Archives & Records Administration; and “Millers and Mystics” by David Contosta, Professor of History, Chestnut Hill College. The moderator will be Miles Orvell, Professor of English and American Studies, Temple University. The event is free and reservations are not needed.
