The Association of Philadelphia Tour Guides (APT) is hosting its third “Great 12-Hour, River to River; Vine to Pine, Rain or Shine Tour” on Saturday. The Great Tour is a celebration of Philadelphia and the hundreds of museums, cultural venues, sites and organizations that it offers tourists and residents alike.
This 12-hour tour covers the city from river to river, from Pine Street to Vine Street
■ The tour takes place in four separate 3-hour phases
■ Each phase visits as many as 20 to 25 cultural and historic sites
■ You can walk the whole tour from start to finish, or join any phase at any of the staging points
■ All the tours are conducted by expert APT certified guides
■ Pre-registration is recommended:
The four tour launch sites and times are 8 a.m. at the National Constitution Center; 11 a.m. at the Bourse at 5th St.; 2 p.m. at the Independence Visitors Center and 5 p.m. at City Hall Courtyard. This event is free. More information at www.phillyguides.org/greattour2012.aspx.
