Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve service at Saint Paul’s Church

Religious communities of different faith traditions will gather together to give thanks on Wednesday, Nov. 21, the eve of Thanksgiving, at Saint Paul’s Church, 22 East Chestnut Hill Avenue.

The Peace Islands Institute, an Islamic group, will host a Thanksgiving supper of turkey with all the fixings in the parish hall at 6:30 p.m.

There will be a combination of American and Turkish foods. Please call Saint Paul’s (215-242-2055) by Sunday, Nov.18, to reserve a place at this supper. The cost will be a freewill donation.

After supper an interfaith worship will take place in the church at 7:30 p.m. Religious communities include Saint Paul’s and Saint Martin’s Episcopal churches, Peace Islands Institute (Islamic), Germantown Jewish Centre and Mishkan Shalom Synagogue, Our Mother of Consolation Roman Catholic Church, Chestnut Hill United Church, and Chestnut Hill Monthly Meeting Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

All are welcome. The grace of America is the web of relationships among people of many faiths. hanksgiving is a quintessential American holiday where all may gather together in each of our faith traditions to ask for God’s blessing.
