This summer residents can once again enjoy free movie screenings outside at the Lovett Library Park. Moonlight Movies in Mt. Airy, hosted by Mt. Airy USA and the Free Library of Philadelphia in partnership with the Trolley Car Diner begins on Friday, June 22 with the “The Princess Bride” and runs through Friday, August 17th in the park adjacent to the Lovett Library. More than one hundred people brought their lawn chairs, blankets, picnics and friends to the family-friendly film screenings last summer. Persistent thunderstorms rained several of the screenings out last summer, but this year Cliveden has agreed to host the films in its Carriage House, 6401 Germantown Ave., if it rains.
Movies begin at 8:30 p.m. Seating on the green starts at 8 p.m.
